The streetfood diet

One of my favourite things to do when I get to a new place is discover what street food they have on offer.

Asia, by far, has the most variety of things to eat on the street. From full fish to fresh fruit and everything in between. The language barrier means that I can’t ask what anything is so I end up trying things I never usually would!

I was just in Bangkok for four days and probably put on about four kilos. We exclusively ate street food which not only was delicious but also saved us a load of money! We could eat lunch with a drink for $2.5 each! The best finds we had were:

-Fried chicken Breast 5 baht

– Pad Thai 25 Baht

– Nutella Banana crepes 40 Baht

But be warned vegetarians – almost everything has some kind of meat! Despite what people think street food isn’t going to give you food poisoning, you’re just as likely to get it from your fancy hotel! Plus eating on the street is supporting the locals in the area and is a great way to immerse yourself in the culture!
