A one way ticket

Finishing my first degree at university it felt like I had the world at my fingertips. I wanted to travel, I needed to travel and so I booked a one way ticket to the opposite side of the world. Not knowing a return date was exhilarating. I told my family and they didn’t seemed surprised, expect for my grandma who would have much rather I had a return date (or prefer that I not leave at all.)
I initially booked it as a solo trip but as I began to tell people what I was doing everyone seemed to want to join! So on February 16th 2014 I departed from the Gold Coast with three friends, Dave, Andrew and Jono. Our first stop…CANADA.
